The manifesto declares the idea behind HZDB and the way we present information and interact as members of a community.
-
The heart of HZDB is its database. We collect audio tracks and recordings of music created by Hans Zimmer.
-
Hans' studio, Remote Control Productions, is a place for collaborative form of working. Therefore Hans is
rarely the only person in the creative process of music composition. We add information about the people
around Hans who provide contribution to a musical project. But we do not claim to track the whole body of
work from these people.
-
In addition to tracks and recordings we collect other stuff like videos, interviews etc. that illustrate
formation processes.
-
The internet made it possible to share all forms of sources to the work of Hans Zimmer. Nevertheless we focus on
recordings and productions that were officially released, either on physical media or as downloads. In rare cases
unofficial publications of music gain entry in our database, if the physical media is of a certain quality to match
the standards of official releases. Fan made compilations will not be included.
-
The soul of HZDB is its community. We are here because we share the same passion: the music of Hans Zimmer.
HZDB shall be the place to exchange, discuss and debate our passion. We emphasize on good atmosphere and communication.
We act for us and our opinion, therefore we use our real first names and do not hide ourselves behind anonymity.
-
We respect everyone and take a pass on hate speech.
